I'm Danny and many of you know me already. I can be found on skype, and I will likely be there more often than in the forum. I actually live in Ireland and am the resident economist of this party. I look forward to gaining an understanding of the eEconomy over time.

ahhh, so yur our actual Irish guy! lol nice to meet u how are things in Ireland? (and not eIreland) Hmm... let's see. We are one of the three companies in Europe expected to stay in recession for several more years (along with Greece and Iceland). College fees are expected to return shortly. Unions, particularly in the medical sector, have been protesting pay cuts on a fairly consistent basis. Overall, one could be led to believe our situation is not so good. While that's all true, I'm actually doing pretty good, thanks . Personal life is going pretty smoothly And you?.

The economists at the European Union do. Krugman was even more of a pessimist about it. I haven't really formulated my own original position on it, so I can't tell you whether there is actually cause for optimism or not. I think we could probably get out of it if we could somehow implement the French strategy here. But our economy is more heavily export based and more dependent on foreign investors. It can't be translated very well.
